Led by Franck Laval, its environmental commitment combines affordable accommodation, organic breakfast included, a garden and free bicycles. The establishment operates across two nearby sites:

the Solar Hôtel, at 22 rue Boulard, and its annex
Le Lionceau, at 22 rue Daguerre.

Together, they offer 34 rooms, with a stated total capacity of 66 guests.

The Solar Hôtel holds the Clef Verte (Green Key) and EU Ecolabel certifications.

Location and transport

The Solar Hôtel is located in the Daguerre – Denfert-Rochereau neighbourhood, close to the shops, restaurants, cafés and markets of rue Daguerre.
Le Lionceau overlooks the pedestrian section of this street, approximately 50 metres from the Solar Hôtel.

Nearby metro and RER services

Denfert-Rochereau station is approximately a three-minute walk from the Solar Hôtel.
It is served by metro lines 4 and 6 and the RER B.

These transport links provide access to Paris’s main neighbourhoods and tourist attractions, including Montparnasse, Île de la Cité, Notre-Dame, the Eiffel Tower and the Arc de Triomphe.
Journey times depend on the route, connections and traffic conditions.

Airport access

Paris-Charles-de-Gaulle Airport:
direct connection on the RER B from Denfert-Rochereau,
using a train bound for the airport.
Paris-Orly Airport:
accessible by metro with a connection to line 14,
or by RER B to Antony followed by Orlyval.
A taxi journey is also possible; journey time depends on traffic.

The Solar Hôtel and its annex offer 34 rooms in total:
24 rooms at the Solar Hôtel and 10 rooms at Le Lionceau.

Room refurbishment forms part of the establishment’s environmental approach, using natural and/or recycled materials, durable furniture and solvent-free paints.

Rates and breakfast

Room rates

The direct booking rates advertised for 2026 vary according to the dates and room type:

Single room: €99 to €199
per room per night.
Double room: €109 to €199
per room per night.
Family room:
variable rate, available on the booking website. Please note that these family rooms get booked up very quickly.

Prices are inclusive of all taxes and include organic breakfast, tourist tax, Wi-Fi and use of the hotel’s bicycles, subject to availability.
The most affordable periods are generally January, February and August. The applicable rate is confirmed when booking online.

Organic breakfast included

Breakfast is served from 7:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the Solar Hôtel, in the room overlooking the garden, or in the garden when conditions permit.
Guests staying at Le Lionceau also have breakfast at the Solar Hôtel.

Breakfast consists of organic products, with an emphasis on local produce.
It includes:

hot drinks: tea, coffee and hot chocolate;
a croissant and baguette;
jam, honey and butter;
plain and vanilla yoghurts.

The service prioritises waste reduction, particularly by avoiding individual portions and unnecessary packaging.

Solar Hôtel reception: open 24 hours a day.
Check-in: from noon.
Check-out: by noon.

Depending on the member of staff at reception, the languages spoken are French, English, Italian, Serbian and Dutch.

Garden and shared spaces

The Solar Hôtel garden is accessible 24 hours a day to guests staying at the Solar Hôtel and Le Lionceau.
It offers a place to relax in the heart of Paris.

Guests can eat their own meals in the garden or indoors. The breakfast room can also be used to relax or for a business meeting.

Free bicycles

The hotel provides eight free bicycles, on request and subject to availability.
This service is available to guests staying at both sites.

Pets

Pets are welcome at the Solar Hôtel and Le Lionceau.
The conditions for bringing pets should be confirmed with the hotel when booking.

Parking

The establishment has no private car park or parking partnership.
A paid public car park is available in the Alésia area, less than 10 minutes away.

Accessibility

The Solar Hôtel has a lift and two rooms accessible to guests
with reduced mobility. The Solar Hôtel can accommodate wheelchair users.

Le Lionceau does not have a lift.
